Project Overview

The City of Coachella is conducting the Coachella Rail Station Feasibility Study. The Study aims to identify a potential location for a new rail station along the future Coachella Valley Rail (CV Rail) route and develop land use and connectivity plans for the surrounding area. The CV Rail project would bring a daily passenger rail service from Downtown Los Angeles through Orange County and Riverside to the Coachella Valley. As of February 2025, the Coachella City Council has advanced Site #2 in the historic downtown Pueblo Viejo area for further analysis.
